DS & Durga was born in Brooklyn, New York, founded by the couple David Seth Moltz (D.S.) and Kavi Ahuja Moltz (Durga). He is a self-taught perfumer who has built his own aromatic language; she is an architect by training and the creative director of the brand. Together, they have created an independent fragrance house where each scent is conceived as a story: inspired by landscapes, music, film, and literature, each composition is crafted directly by its creator, without intermediaries. The production remains rooted in New York. In 2024, the brand joined the portfolio of Manzanita Capital, a London-based group that also includes Diptyque. The common thread of the entire vision is summarized in a single idea: fragrance is an armchair journey.
