TIZIANA TERENZI Akragas Extrait 100 ml This creation was born from the moving inspiration felt during a long journey through Italy, in search of the scent of salt and its infinite facets. The Bel country is surrounded by the sea, rich in precious salt, and this element has always encouraged the development of civilisations. Salt has diverse facets and is not obtained only from sea evaporation, but is also extracted from the famous salt quarries, of which Sicily is rich. Akragas was the ancient name of present-day Agrigento, a very famous city in southern Sicily, enchanting for its natural beauty and for the magnificent Valley of the Temples, an inestimable heritage strongly admired since the times of Magna Graecia and preserved impeccably to this day. The Greek poet Pindar called Agrakas the “Most beautiful city in the world”, and this creation is inspired by that breathtaking beauty. Throughout its long history, Agrigento has known the influence of various peoples, from Magna Graecia to the Carthaginians, from the Arabs to the Normans, gathering within itself all the cultural facets able to coexist in armonia and serenity, giving us una beauty that is a lesson for everyone. Akragas seeks to tell the beauty of this crossroads of cultures and wonders through the salt of its most famous quarry, immersed in Mediterranean scrub and enchanted landscapes. The creation opens with a pungent bouquet that immediately evokes the Mediterranean scrub; dove we notice Myrtle of Sicily and Mediterranean Seaweed, intensely embraced by the citrus fruits typical of the Island, dove above all stand out Royal Grapefruit and the unmistakable softness of Neroli. This top settles on a heart as strong as terra Sicilian, robust and generous, dove the Salt of the Agrigento Quarry is the dominant and reverberating note, emphasised by Atlas Cedar, strongly aromatic with Red Thyme and Bulgarian Geranium.
