A valuable aid for the skier's thumb
Anyone who practices winter sports knows it well: a small snag with the ski poles' laces is enough to carry an unpleasant memory from the mountains with you for a long time. To allow the strained apparatus and ligaments to regenerate more quickly, the joint needs stability. In fact, the thumbs are usually stressed more than we realize.
Get back in shape faster
RhizoLoc splints the thumb at the sellar and basal joints using a custom-shaped aluminum bracket. This allows the affected lateral ligaments to regenerate optimally. A special Velcro tab allows the restriction of movement to be adjusted as desired, depending on the therapy requirements.
The breathable material with integrated holes allows optimal ventilation of the skin, thus preventing sweating and itching of the thumb and wrist joint. The practical Velcro closure allows the orthosis to be put on and taken off with the greatest of ease using the other hand.
Directions
- Lateral ligament injury of the 1st metacarpophalangeal joint
- Inflammatory conditions of the sellar and proximal thumb joints (acute/chronic, e.g. osteoarthritis)
Washing instructions
RhizoLoc can be hand washed at 30° with liquid detergent.
Before washing, close the glass closure to avoid damaging the orthosis.
